Around noon on May 6, 2013 our first bluebird fledglings appeared. There were two.

We have 3 or 4 fledgling crows that have taken over the yard the last few days and they've been getting into quite a bit of mischief, too. This is a small example of how they behave like bad tempered children who won't share the water. This was recorded late in the afternoon on June 8, 2012.

Both a male and female bluebird go inside the cage to eat mealworms. Success!

Look very carefully in the lower right corner next to the bush and you'll see a red fox stalking the birds. Then it walks bacvk into the yard. There are several nests in nearby bushes that I think it was interested in. From the sounds I'd say that the fox got something. That poor squirrel was frozen with fear.

This is the pre-dawn chorus of song birds this morning. Just amazing (except for the distant sounds of trucks on the highway).
